Guro-gu has played its role as the center of Seoul’s metropolitan economy since the 1960s.
In November 2000, due to the change in the international economic environment, Guro Industrial Complex, which housed mostly manufacturing businesses, changed its name to Seoul Digital Complex. The arrival of KICOX Venture Town in the complex, the first Venture Accumulation Facility in Korea as well as 56 venture enterprises, was the catalyst for change in Guro-gu, transforming the district into the Mecca of information technology with the latest digital know-how.
With the opening of Subway line No.7, the whole district is now within reach to the Subway . In the 21st century, Guro-gu has evolved into a district that is likely to become the center of industry, economy, and transportation in southwest Seoul, with the harmonious merging of Housing, Commerce and Industry.
The school caters for students who are mainly business professionals from Guro Digital Complex and college students. Native speakers for our English classes come from the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the UK. These teachers, who all share a love of teaching, instruct conversation, business English, reading and writing classes and intensive courses. The school also employs Korean teachers who teach TOEIC, TOEFL and Beginner classes as well as Chinese and Japanese. There is a co-operative and jovial atmosphere in the staff room.
